BOXED GAMAGES OF LONDON LIMITED EDITION HAND ASSEMBLED MECHANICAL RACER AUTOMATIC BLACK

Description

"The Gamages Of London Limited Edition Hand Assembled Wilkie Mechanical Racer Automatic Black men’s watch takes its name from Walter Ernest “Wilkie” Wilkinson who, alongside Walter Hassan, became a founding member of the British Racing Mechanics Club. Rather than take the wheel himself, Wilkie preferred to operate as a riding mechanic where his knowledge of racing cars made him a valuable asset during the early years of British and European motor racing, where the likes of George Eyston was a contemporary and team member.

The 163 part 20 jewel hand assembled automatic movement demonstrates an intricate approach that celebrates Wilkie’s vast knowledge of mechanics. The asphalt-black dial is accompanied by Day, Date, Month and 24 Hour Counters that sit neatly within the black IP case and are supremely reminiscent of racing cars past and present, which is further confirmed with the lime green scale running from 12 to 4

The Gamages Of London stainless caseback and oil-black silicone strap provide a thoroughly high-octane appeal to the watch that represents everything Wilkie and British racing is famed for.."
